2023年1月に受験した英検1級、ダメ元だったものの1次試験をギリギリで合格。
約1か月後の2次試験、準備は不足していたが手ごたえあり。しかし、こちらはギリギリで不合格。
1次試験免除を得られただけよかったとして、7月の2次試験に向けて勉強中。
数少ない英検1級面接対策本の一冊『英検1級 面接大特訓』(Jリサーチ出版 )を使用中です。
ひとまずスピーチに使える考え方や表現を身につけるため、英作文とそれの暗記を繰り返します。
時期が近づいてきたらテーマを絞り、掘り下げて質疑応答対策をする予定、
とりあえず、
1.設問に対して自分なりに英作文
2.それをchatGPTに添削してもらって、少し手直し。
3.ほとんど覚えるまで音読。
4.オンラインレッスンで模擬試験。
という形で練習中。

Can animal testing be justified?(動物実験は正当化されうるか？)
動物保護の倫理観的にはアウトだけれど、医療の発展という人の命がかかっている重要なプロセスだから正当化される、という方向でいきたいです。
動物実験や安楽死は昔に比べて、動物たちが苦しまないような方法が採用されているし、数が減るように努力されている、という話を聞いたことがあるけれど、少し調べただけだと使いやすそうなデータが見つからず…。それに結局、命を奪いうる実験をゼロにできないのだから、これを根拠にはできまい…ということでこれは却下。
結局テキストにあったように、医療と経済の発展につながる、という形で書きました。
While animal testing have been implemented in some industries to create new products, it is a controversial topic whether or not can be justified. However, in my opinion, animal testing can be justified because it is necessary for the development of medicine and economy.
To begin with, animal testing is essential to confirm the safety of new medicines and treatments. Creating new medicines involves multiple steps, and it is impossible to predict the results of new drugs. As a result, scientists must examine the effects of drugs through animal testing to ensure their safety for human use. Without animal testing, new drugs would need to be tested directly on humans, which can lead to medical accidents and increased time and costs to sell them.
Moreover, products created through animal testing can be beneficial for the economy. The creation of new products, such as medical drugs or cosmetic items, stimulates economic growth. These industries have a significant influence on the economy, and their effects can be enormous.
As mentioned above, animal testing can be justified because it can contribute to the advancement of medicine and economic growth. And there is no alternative methods.
